Amway and Daytrading

Daytrading reminds me of Network Marketing also known as Multi-Level Marketing. You know, Amway, Herbalife, etc. etc.Everyone says they are making money and you believe the idea that if you work super hard, become super disciplined, you will make alot of money also. Now, I really don't know what the exact numbers are as far percentages of who is actually making a living in Network Marketing or daytrading but all I can say is that from my many years of experience in both, it appears like its less then 1%. I have gotten to known some well known chat gurus, as well as experienced daytraders that really know their stuff and they confess that they really arent able to make a living from daytrading. I am currently doing a little better then breakeven after 3 years of working this thing 10 hours a day. Now the really sad part is that if I factor in how many hours I spend a week trading, studying charts, etc etc I would be rich if I had just gotten that minimum wage job at Mcdonalds. You know its the same with network marketing, I met all these people that were so excited that they were making an extra 1k to 2k a month but if you factored in how many hours they were putting in, it was less then min wage!!Daytrading is more addicting then alcohol. Its pretty sad.

Chatroom egomaniacs

Why is it that so many traders in chatrooms post bogus trades?
You all know what I'm talking about. 12 trades, 12 winners, 24pts. And of course the range for the day has been 5pts and all of us veteran losers, know it's total bs. But of course, they continue to post it over and over again. yes, I have confirmation from research that these guys are bogus. My friends and I have taken the time to watch their posts and have caught them with fills that never occurred. Such a sad pathetic industry we are addicted to. Daytrading is the ultimate in deception.

Who is really making money??

The one thing I have found is that most traders lie in this industry. The big question is "who is really making a living daytrading?.
After 3 years of investigation, I don't believe anyone who isn't willing to show their broker report. I have found out that all the gurus that sell books, run chatrooms, etc actually don't trade or they are not making money. Is this business a total scam??
